I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. Bless you Bill. I still can’t go a day without seeing his face, and I hope that never changes–his eyes revealed a powerful divinity I’d never known. Am I the only person who thinks the once-in-a-lifetime dogs actually choose you?
I promise–a note, an address, an overdue bday gift and card, and a 64 gb flash drive –cd/DVD is DEAD.

Any chance you can put your hands on Happy Jack? (Tongue lolling 6 inches out of of his goofy chocolate mouth…?) it’s my favorite, and I know it’s a hard one, but there’s one photo you took of Viking, he’s looking straight up at you. I am eager to see these two soonest. Viking has not done well in losing Jack. He is still grieving as much as I am. He looked so happy in that photo. The reminder might help us both?

How is the cocoa vixen Sofa? I’d love to see her again! And you without question!

    Love, julia
