Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) Large three-bladed horizontal-axis wind turbines (HAWT) with the blades upwind of the tower produce the overwhelming majority of wind power in the world today. These turbines have the main rotor shaft and electrical generator at the top of a tower, and must be pointed into the wind.

Blowing down a big tree, the force required to break the grip of a root plate is immense. A tall tree’s stem is a huge lever with branches that offer commodious sail area. Come a powerful wind, the tree is laid down. In time, we all fall down.

Tilly is all about walking it down slow, saving energy, not breaking a sweat, securing the chow. Eva is Thunderpaws, ten strides to every step Matilda takes. Eva runs the high road, the low road and encircles the enemy, simultaneously. The dogs have opposite approaches but remain best friends.

She was a gentle loving mouse. Prisoner for four years. Always had a smile, devoted to the children. In her old age the twins helped her with water therapy and groomed her with their fingertips.
