Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

The Cville Bike mApp project is a regional bike mapping project developed by the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization, in partnership with BikeCharlottesville, the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and the University of Virginia. It will allow transportation planners to better understand how cyclists use the current transportation system. Cyclists will use the App to map their ride and then upload the data. Staff will use the uploaded data for mapping to determine, key cycling corridors, barriers and routes.–TJPDC

The physical accommodation of a community requires more than the addition of a bunch of “roofs.”
A community is about scale and detail, about context, about soil, about lighting, about gardens, about mass and form. It is critical to create a place worth caring about, a place worth loving.
These things are part of the armature, they lend stability. In a living neighborhood our homes are more than storage places for isolated individuals, they are a part of the larger community, they relate a narrative about us and about our predecessors.
