In a 9/12/12 article regarding Moto Saloon the Daily Progress reporter remarked:

Permit opponents, most of whom were older than the bulk of the saloon supporters, argued that the noise problems are undeniable and that they are entitled to tranquility in their own homes.

I wonder if the old folks were wearing orthopedic footwear, had hairpieces, reading glasses and hearing aids? Old people are such a drag on culture and vibrancy.

Black Market Moto Saloon


The proprietor of a recently established restaurant-bar at the gateway of the Woolen Mills neighborhood hopes to acquire a discretionary permit from our City Council to operate a “Music Hall”.


Party advocates are thrilled by the prospect of a small venue (150 legal capacity) with a big sound.


Peoples’ needs/desires are in conflict. The clients of the Moto Saloon want to drink and dance, the Moto proprietor wants to make money. The residents of the neighborhood want to sleep at night.

The mucus secreted by the foot contains fibres which help prevent the slug from slipping down vertical surfaces. The “slime trail” that a slug leaves behind has some secondary effects: other slugs coming across a slime trail can recognize the slime trail as produced by one of the same species, which is useful in finding a mate.
