They&#8217;d run slides while the photographer on the spot would converse with an interviewer. Honesty, humility and reverence made multiple appearances during these conversations: the format is revelatory, productive and beautiful.<br \/>\nLocal resident, photographer and <a href=\"http:\/\/photography.nationalgeographic.com\/photography\/photographers\/photographer-michael-nichols\/\">National Geographic<\/a> photography editor at large, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelnicknichols.com\/works\/\">Nick Nichols<\/a>, was one of those interviewed.
