I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. I’m sure there is a more scientific approach but my exposure is more cultural. God’s rays one way to put it. My mother always told me the sky/ clouds were drawing water, sort of fits your description. It’s the 1st time I’ve thought of it in a long time but that’s how she put it and how it will be for me. Thanks Bill
