I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. Or possibly 8-9-17 below the equator. I’m particularly fond of high-contrast images like this, they burn strobe-light into my brain.

    1. Power line on the north side of Locust Avenue. I was in my car, exiting the eastern Route 29 bypass, turning right on Locust, the 3 squared, 2 cubed plus 17 were waiting, used point and shoot out of the window, the people behind me waited patiently
