J Dog

Cayce was born on a farm in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1877, and his psychic abilities began to appear as early as his childhood. He was able to see and talk to his late grandfather’s spirit, and often played with “imaginary friends” whom he said were spirits on the other side. He also displayed an uncanny ability to memorize the pages of a book simply by sleeping on it.–Association for Research and Enlightenment

I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. Not trying to make light of Mr. Cayce. His was a life of giving. Read “There is a River”, the complete biography of Edgar Cayce covering his life and the information that came through his psychic readings. “it also provides hope to anyone suffering from illness or despair of heart and spirit.”

The two posturing bullies, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, brought this image to mind. How they crammed.

  2. I can vouch for that dog’s intelligence first hand. And his charming personality takes after his best friends!
As to Mittens and Barrack being posturing bullies….can’t agree with that comment. Are you saying that sleeping on a book reminds you of Edgar’s cramming, and cramming reminds you of the debate contenders, who clearly did their homework? That actually sounds like a nice way to study and if you could add coffee, a cigarette and chocolate mousse to that magic formula, I might just go back to school.
