I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. I was cutting up fruit for Mom today… white peaches, cantaloupe, red plums, blackberries… and I was thinking of EG and wishing she was closer so I could have made her a bowlful as well.

  2. Dear Billy,
I’m pleased to see that your mother is looking so well! How are you?
I don’t know how to get in touch with your mother anymore. Would you please let me know how to reach her?
    I’m living in Tenerife, Spain and can be reached on 011 34 922 81 28 65.
I would love to hear from you both!
    With warm regards,
    Nancy
