I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. What is that? A mystic stone? Or a potato chip so sodden with grease that it is translucent? Or so full of radioactivity that it glows even in the light? I think I see Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel scene in it. If so, I think Ebay’s the way to go with it.

  2. Michael- I am going to try this with a French Fry next time, thanks for the idea.
