I stumbled off the track to success in 1968, started chasing shadows that summer. Since then, In addition to farm-laborer and newspaper photographer my occupational incarnations include dishwasher, janitor, retail photo clerk, plumber, HVAC repairman, auto mechanic, CAT scan technologist, computer worker and politico (whatever it takes to buy a camera.) I am on the road to understanding black and white photography.

  1. lve the dark tones and the texture of the rocks coming upwards, looking treachorously slippery, And if you fall youd fall into the wild jungle. Great!!

  2. “Another night on a highway somewhere in time / The darkness playin’ tricks on me / Far down the road in the shadows somewhere in time / Am I the man I’m supposed to be? / I see a light shinin’ somewhere in time / A lonely light to lead me on” (Dave Alvin)

I listened to this beuatiful Dave Alvin song regarding this beauty of yours. A perfect song for a perfect photograph. Really like it a lot, Bill! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
